Casting during your event

During your event, you are able to cast the view from within the goggles to your computer, allowing you to show the view on a projector or second screen for other participants to observe.

ManageXR is the web app that allows you to cast the goggle's screen to a browser window by connecting the goggles to your computer via a USB cable. Once the goggle's screen is viewable on your computer, you can disconnect the USB cable.

This web app is still in development, but has been tested on our systems and has worked very reliably.

To cast the view from the goggles to your computer:

• On your computer, open a web browser and go to https://casting.managexr.com
• Turn on the goggles you would like to cast to your computer
  • Proceed to set up the goggles, going through the boundary settings, until you are in the warehouse
• Connect the goggles to your computer using one of the USB cables in your kit
  • You will need to unplug the battery pack to plug in the USB cable

• On your computer, in your web browser, click the blue "Add" button on the left side of your screen

• Find your device in the popup (should be listed as "Quest 2")
• Click on "Connect" 

• Click the blue "Connect" button on the left side of your screen and follow any directions that may appear on your screen
• Wearing the goggles, you will need to click on the allow button in the popup that appears
  • You can choose to always allow the connection on your computer to avoid this step in the future
• On your computer, in the web browser, click on "Start Wireless Casting"
  • A new browser window will open and you should see the view from the goggles
• Once you can see the goggle's view on your computer, you can unplug the USB cable from the goggles
  • You can plug the battery pack back in
