Large Language Model

A Large Language Model (LLM) is a type of artificial intelligence that has been trained on a massive dataset of text and code. This allows them to generate text, translate languages, write different kinds of creative content, and answer your questions in an informative way. LLMs are still under development, but they have learned to perform many kinds of tasks, including:

  • Summarizing text
  • Rewriting text in a different style or reading level
  • Answering questions
  • Translating languages
  • Writing different kinds of creative content, like poems, code, scripts, musical pieces, email, letters, etc.
  • Generating different creative text formats of text content

LLMs are trained using a technique called Deep Learning. Deep learning is a type of machine learning that uses artificial neural networks (parameters) to learn from data. The neural networks in an LLM are trained on a massive dataset of text and code. This allows the LLM to learn the patterns and relationships between words and phrases.

Examples include ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, and Consensus.
