Artificial Intelligence can be used to help with everyday tasks. Using a word processor such as Microsoft Word has included AI tools for spelling, grammar, and punctuation. When typing emails, flyers, or other publications, the college provides Grammarly. All staff can create an account using their Northwood Tech email address.
When you're working on publications or documents, you can use a Large Language Model (LLM) such as Gemini or ChatGPT to help you write a concise line or paragraph. For a prompt, try using "Summarize _______________" or "Clarify _______________" and type in all the information you want to share. The LLM will give you a paragraph that you can work with to come up with the perfect text for your item. You can do the same steps to work on an email or other internal item you're sending out.
If you plan to talk with students from different grade levels, you can use use an LLM to change your notes to a higher or lower grade/reading level.
