Setting up Accommodations

When you receive an accommodations card from a student, you can set time accommodations for individual students that apply to all assessments in your course. 

Access the Accommodations Panel

1. Go to the Roster page, open a student's menu, and select Accommodations.
2. Due date accommodations: Students will never have their work marked late.  
3. Time limit accommodation:  After you select its accommodation, choose the amount of extra time: 

• +% extra time
• Unlimited time

4. Students with accommodations appear with a purple icon next to their names. 

• The icon appears in the discussion, grade book, and roster pages. Students don't see the accommodations you've added.
• When you choose to grade with student names hidden, no indication of students with accommodations is shown.

5. The number of students with accommodations appears in the setting for assignments and tests.  Select the link to view the accommodations. 

6. Select the View Roster button to make changes.
