Gradebook Settings

Access the Gradebook Settings

  • Once in the course gradebook, click on the Settings (Gear icon)

Displays the Gear icon (Settings) on the right side of the course Gradebook Views Tabs.

Gradebook Settings Options

Grade Schemas

  • Maps percentages to letter grades or some other grade notation

Partial display of "Letter" grade schema settings, mapping letter grades to percentages.

Display of "Complete / Incomplete" grade schema settings.

Student Performance

  • Sends alerts to students when 
    • The overall grade is below a certain percentage
    • The number of missed due dates is above a certain threshold
    • The days since last access is above a certain threshold

Gradebook Settings available for "Student Performance" alerts.

Automatic Zeros

  • Grade for past due work is set to zero
  • Does not apply to students with due date accommodations

Overall Grade

  • Sets whether the overall grade is based on points, is weighted or uses custom criteria

Gradebook settings link to "Manage overall grade settings"

Students Visibility

  • Hide students who no longer have access to the course

Displays gradebook setting toggle for "Students Visibility".

Grade Categories

  • Used to group similar types of coursework

Displays the default "Grade Categories" in gradebook settings as well as the ability to add new Categories.

Course Rubrics

  • Created by the instructor or using AI assistance

Gradebook setting where "Course Rubrics" can be created by the instructor or generated by AI.
