Export One Test/Quiz from Original Course and Import to Ultra Course

 

Export Test from Original

  1. Sign in to a Blackboard original course and go to Course Tools>Tests, Surveys, and Pools.

  1. Select Tests.

  1. Find a test and use the drop-down arrow, and select Export.  A zipped file folder will download to your downloads folder on your computer.

Import Tests/Quizzes into your Ultra Course

  1. Go to your Ultra Course and choose the ellipse at the very top of your course content and choose import content.

  1. Select Import Course Content.

  1. Choose your zipped file folder in the Downloads folder of your computer.

  1. You will see a message at the top of the course content page that is processing importing course content.

  1. A file folder is created at the bottom of your Ultra course content called Undeployed Tests.  Inside, the folder lists all the imported tests.  BE PATIENT for the test contents to import even if you see the exam name.  Check your test that all questions are imported.  Not every type of question is compatible with Ultra Tests.

  1. Next, move (drag and drop) a test into a Module or folder in your course content from the Undeployed Tests folder.  Note: A grade book item is created when importing tests into Ultra.  Therefore, if you do not use a test in the Undeployed Tests folder, you will want to delete the unused test in this folder, so you do not have an unwanted grade book item.  After the items inside the Undeployed Tests folder is empty, you can delete the Undeployed Tests folder. 


Export All Tests/Quizzes from Original Course and Import to Ultra Course

 

Export all your Tests from Original

  1. Sign in to a Blackboard original Course and go to Packages and Utlilites>Export/Archive Course.

  1. Select Export Package.

  1. Scroll down and click "Tests, Survey, Pools" and click Submit.

  1. Then receive an email notification that the export file is ready.  Go to Packages and Ultilies>Export/Archive Course.  Click on the file name, and the zipped file will go to your downloads folder on your computer.

Import Tests/Quizzes into your Ultra Course

  1. Go to your Ultra Course and choose the ellipse at the very top of your course content and choose import content.
