Blackboard will be unavailable January 2nd 2025, from 1:00am until 7:30am for scheduled maintenance by Anthology. During this time, you will be unable to log into Blackboard or access any Blackboard resources.
Respondus is a special browser that "locks down" a computer while accessing Blackboard. It prevents students from accessing other programs or websites while taking an exam.
To require students to use Respondus for an exam:
You can find the Respondus Dashboard in one of two options:
The Respondus Lockdown Browser dashboard screen displays a list of all deployed tests in the course. To change a test setting to use Respondus Lockdown Browser, click the drop-down arrow to the left of the test name, and click Settings.
Select Require Respondus Lockdown Browser for this exam.
Then click "+" to expand Advance Settings options.
Note: Auto-generated 6-digit Access Codes are set up in the Blackboard Test Settings. See the section on Assessments>Tests for more information on adding access codes for exams.
If you want to add Respondus Monitor with Lockdown Browser, select "Require Respondus Monitor for this exam."
