Gradebook Overview

Access the Course Gradebook

  1. Navigate to Your Course
    • From the main dashboard, select the course for which you want to access the gradebook.
  2. Open the Gradebook
    • Once inside the course, click on the Gradebook tab located at the top of the page.

Gradebook Tab Views

Gradebook navigation menu: Overview, Gradable Items, Grades, Students

  • Overview: Displays grading tasks that need to be completed.

  • Gradable Items: Shows all gradable items in your course.

  • Grades: Displays each student's grade for specific assignments.

  • Students: Lists all students with their overall grades and last access dates.

Overview Tab Features

  • Needs Reconciling: Items ready for reconciliation when using parallel grading.

  • Needs Grading: Submissions that are ready for grading.

  • Needs Posting: Graded assessments that are ready to be posted.

Gradable Items Tab Features

  • View due dates, grading status, and item categories.
  • Post grades and adjust the overall grade calculation.
  • Items with missing submissions past the due date are highlighted in red.

Grades Tab Features

  • One student per row and one gradable item per column.
  • Options to view, provide feedback, post grades, and add exceptions or exemptions.
  • Color-coded text for different statuses (e.g., green for posted grades, red for automatic zeros).

Students Tab Features

  • View overall grades if set up.
  • Directly message students and add accommodations.
  • Search for students by name, username, or student ID.
