Add a Content Creator to a Folder

You may want to share a recording with another user, so they have access to edit or use the video. To do this, you will need to create a new folder or edit an existing folder to share with the other user and add them as a Creator. If you already have a folder created, skip to page 2.

Create a New Folder

1. Login to Panopto. Click Create then New Folder.
   
2. Fill out the Video Information:
   a. Give the folder a name
   b. Select the parent folder you want the new folder associated with
   c. Enter a description (optional)
   d. Uncheck the Inherit permissions from the parent folder box
   e. Click Create Folder
   
3. Type in the name of the person(s) and change their level of access from Viewer to Creator. Click Send.
   

Edit Existing Folder 

1. Login to Panopto. Click My Folder and select the folder you want to share.
   
2. Click the folder Settings icon
   
3. Click Share in the settings menu. To remove the inherited permissions, click Change next to the folder. Then click Stop Inheriting.
   
4. Type in the name of the person(s) and change their level of access from Viewer to Creator. Click Send.
