Downloading Open Educational Resources
Download Open Educational Resources (OER)
- Navigate to the Content page of your Blackboard course.
- Locate the resource or file shared by your instructor.
- Click on the ellipsis, three dots, located at the right side of the item.

- From the popup menu, choose whether you will download the original file or an alternative format.
- If the original file format is PDF, then most likely you should select the Download Original File option.
- If you would like to read the file on an e-book reader, in braille, or listen to an MP3 version, select Download Alternative Formats. Choose the desired option, and then press the Download button.

Locate and Open the Downloaded File
From a web browser on a computer running Windows
- With the browser open, press the Ctrl + J keys at the same time.
- The file should be the top entry. If it is not, scroll down until you find it.
- Click on the file to open it.
From a web browser on a computer running MacOS
- With the browser open, press the Option + Command + L keys at the same time.
- The file should be the top entry. If it is not, scroll down until you find it.
- Click on the file to open it.
From the Anthology Blackboard App on an Android Phone or Tablet
- Open the My Files app on your android phone. You can find it by swiping up and searching for it.
- Click on Downloads.
- The file should be the top entry. If it is not, scroll down until you find it.
- Click on the file to open it.
From the Anthology Blackboard App on the Apple phone or tablet
- Open the Files app. You can find it by swiping down and then search for it.
- Either click on the Recents tab and scroll until you find it or enter the name of the file in the search field.
- Click on the file to open it.
